LOST IN YOUR EYES (3:52)

Written by Janet Burgan
ASCAP

You were standing on my doorstep
Looking at your new haircut
In the reflection of the glass in the door.
You rang the buzzer.
I said, "Yo, who is it?"
You said, "It's me, are you ready to go?"
"Yes, I?m ready to go."

Then I come downstairs,
And I see you there,
Smiling at me,
Then I'm lost in your eyes.
Lost in your eyes.

Today's your birthday, I want to see you.
I hope you got lots of nice presents.
And some heartfelt expressions of love.
I tried to call you, there was no answer.
I guess you?re busy at your party.
Well, I'm glad you were born.

Then I come downstairs,
And I see you there,
Smiling at me,
Then I'm lost in your eyes.
Lost in your eyes.

I want to see you more often.
But then I'd never get any work done.
And I have enough trouble with that as it is.
But then you call me and say, "Come over."
And I drop everything that I'm doing
And take the subway to your neighborhood.

Then I come downstairs,
And I see you there,
Smiling at me,
Then I'm lost in your eyes.
Lost in your eyes.
Then I'm lost in your eyes.

HURRY HOME (2:08)

Written by Janet Burgan
ASCAP

It seems like you're always flying away
Leaving me behind
But when you ask me whether it bothers me,
I lie and say, "I don't mind."

Why don't you hurry home
Hurry home
Hurry home to me.
Come on and hurry home,
Hurry home
Hurry home to me.

I imagine all the fun you're having
All the pretty girls you meet.
And then I sit here feeling so bad for myself
I can't even move my feet.

Why don't you hurry home
Hurry home
Hurry home to me.
Come on and hurry home,
Hurry home
Hurry home to me.

You call me up on the telephone
You're voice music to my ears.
And when you tell me you'll be home to me tomorrow night,
Well, I'm laughing through my tears.

Why don't you hurry home
Hurry home
Hurry home to me.
Come on and hurry home,
Hurry home
Hurry home to me.
(Repeat)
